How the Dream Began

There are always going to be a troubled souls among our youth because life doesn't seem too particular on who it decides to "crush". That's why heARTeffect was created, so when life crushes our souls, we have a welcoming place to go, create and know that if we need to talk, someone is there to listen.

heARTeffect was born from a place in my heart that longed to help the youth in my community. My goal is to help them find joy again and make it a permanent, daily part of their lives.

Mission Statement

heARTeffect has two main objectives:

To inspire and celebrate creativity within our youth.
To provide a safe and judgment free space for them to share and receive a listening ear when one is needed.

heARTeffect's mission is to provide such a place where freedom can be found, a place where life's problems glide away with each pull of a paintbrush.

Vision Statement

Every dream has a starting point and heARTeffect's is to be able to expand its reach so more of our youth have this opportunity to create in a safe place.

About the Founder

Hi! My name is Tasha Morrison. I've been an avid lover of art for as long as I can remember. I had art lessons as a child and have been drawing and coloring since. I even took art courses in high school and college but I am no professional ... just a passionate lover of all things art.

Having a heart that chases after God and His will, heARTeffect came to me in an instant, and three years later, am finally seeing the first steps take place.

I love how art has no boundaries, no restrictions; that no matter what you create ... it's art. I also love how art is able to be created from the soul of its creator, it's an expression/an extension of the person designing it and in a wonderful way, can help heal the broken parts with the help of Jesus Christ.
